One of my favorite childhood memories is of my dad bringing home a Whirlpool refrigerator. “I designed this” he’d say as he pointed to a handle, or shelf, or ice-maker. I was always in awe of the fact that he could create something that people all around the world would interact with every day. 

It was this desire to build things and impact people's lives in a positive way that led me first to get a degree in engineering, and then later to pursue UX design.

These days, my engineering background helps me understand the quantitative analysis behind user research, and my UX training helps me turn insights into intuitive designs.
